Venado Caves Exploration

Venado Caves is a fascinating environment which holds several wonders you might never seen before. That is the case of stalactites and stalagmites on its way to form millenary thick columns, coral remains and animal fossils which got stucked on the rocks as they formed and now decorate the walls of the cave, a subterranean waterfall giving birth to a subterranean riverand bats, spiders and crickets within its shadowy home.  Even though most chambers of the caves remain unexplored, today, a total of 10 caverns have been mapped -covering a total length of 2700 meters-. In fact, this place can be really fascinating from its history to its architecture.

At the facilities, you’ll be provided with special equipment -a lantern, a helmet and a pair of boots- to enter the caverns. Once inside, we’ll spend 1 ½ hour there, walking across a not profound subterranean river, climbing and crawling in order to reach different chambers. All the journey you’ll be accompanied by a prepared guide who is going to share several facts about the caves such as how it formed, its mineral constitution, its resident animals, the firsts explorations and more!
