Sarapiquí River Rafting

We will travel through pineapple, papaya and yucca fields with the Arenal Volcano decorating the horizon until we reach the Sarapiqui River. After a short safety talk and capacitation, we’ll slide down the river in a raft. This experience is ideal for those who wish to combine an adrenaline adventure with exuberant flora and fauna.

The clear refreshing waters will serpentine along 13 km within the tropical jungle, offering a variety of class III and IV rapids. For 3 hours, we will twist our way through an impressive river canyon of crystal waters and rapids with a high level of technicality. You’ll also have the chance to swim in amazing natural pools located within these stages.

We’ll stop mid-way to “refuel” with a refreshing tropical fruits snack. Afterwards, our adventure will end with a well-deserved Costa Rican traditional lunch. Finally, we’ll head to a short eco-cultural tour which combines ecological trails, sheltering incredible biodiversity such as a 500-year-old giant Ceiba tree, and an interactive explanation of Costa Rican customs and traditions, a tortilla making class and more.
