Horseback Riding to the Arenal Volcano

After a brief explanation about how to manage your horse, you will start this adventure. The horseback ride will last about 3 hours starting at the foot of the mountain in a modern stable. We’ll explore paths unreachable via any other vehicle going up through secondary forest terrains, cattle fields as well as crossing through an authentic primary forest area that will lead us to a beautiful iris lagoon. Along the way, you might get to see different birds and mammals like toucans and monkeys.

Additionally to the horseback riding experience, a guide will share several interesting facts from each stage, the Arenal Volcano, the Arenal region in general and the fauna. After a while, we’ll reach the highest point where we’ll discover a lookout.  Here we will be the closest to the Arenal Volcano that is allowed, giving us a breathtaking view from that majestic volcano if it is clear. After enjoying that sight, we’ll return to our horses in order to start our way down the mountain, where a snack will be waiting for us.
